Red Hot Chilli Pipers in the Musichall Worpswede

Absolute intense …

It was the first time for me to see the Red Hot Chilli Pipers in the Musichall Worpswede on november 19th 2011. Yes Pipers and not Peppers! Eight guys with kilts are entering the stage, two drummer, two guitars, one keyboarder and three pipers which are the namegiving and soundgiving elements. They play well known songs but also own material and all with their very own tunes thanks to the bagpipes. No vocals in this band. The mikes are mainly for introducing the songs and making jokes.

Not only the audience had their fun. The musicians had their fun too as we could read in their faces. But in these pics you can recognize the concentration which they need for their perfect play.

The hall was again sold out which is normal for the Piper’s gig in Worpswede. They played around 2 1/2 hours and ended with the typical british farewell song.
