Orion is my favourite constallation at the nightsky. I tried to frame it in a clear moonless night. But I don’t like it when the stars become long stripes, so I avoided long exposure times. One more thing you recognize with longer times is the dirt in the air which gets illuminated by distant city lights.
The first image is not really sharp. Manual focussing in the dark is tricky.
The details taken with the tele are better.
