A chrismas concert in the Musichall Worpswede.
Moya Brennan is the sister of Enja and the voice of the group Clannad which ist nearly a family project.
A lot of well knows tunes were played but with most songs we could only hum and not sing in the audience because of the gaelic lyrics. Once we were asked my Moya to join in singing after she explained the refrain. With the last song all people joined in at once as the lyrics changed from gaelic to german: Oíche Chúin or Stille Nacht (Silent Night)! After this no more encore was possible. This was the emotional climax. So the musicians were very surprised upon the non-contemplative applause. We could see in their faces, yes it’s the first time in the Musichall.
